EXTENDING THE BASIC BROWSER

JANUARY 2008 --- I haven't touched the Basic Browser in nearly seven years. I had ideas for some substantial developments at one stage, but they didn't happen.

It's been good to see that this small contribution has attracted some interest within the Delphi community - several sites refer to it - so I'm keeping these pages permanently online and occasionally updated.

The sections below are what remains of the links and suggestions which I once had. Most of the original items are now gone or redundant.

DOWNLOAD MANAGERS

The browser seems to have limited support for download managers. I've used two, Download Expert and more recently Free Download Manager. Neither can catch clicks from the Browser as they can from IE, but the IE context menu extensions work in both programs.
